What is the VIP Program?
The HashWhale VIP Program has ten tiers, from VIP0 to VIP9. Your tier is determined by either your own assets or the direct effective users you invite, whichever qualifies you for the higher tier.
How your tier is calculated
- The system evaluates your tier every day at 9:00 (UTC+8).
- The asset path uses your own trailing 30-day average assets.
- The invite path uses only your direct effective users. Indirect invitees and other users' assets do not count.
- From VIP1 to VIP9, meeting either path is enough.
All assets are counted at their USD value at the time of the daily evaluation.
The thresholds for each tier are shown on the VIP page in the HashWhale app or on the website. See the VIP Program FAQ for how the program works.
Who is a direct effective user?
A direct invitee counts after completing KYC and maintaining the minimum 30-day average assets shown on the VIP page. Eligibility is refreshed daily.
Tier retention
If neither qualification path fully meets your current tier, the system warns you first. The seven-day grace period runs only while both paths remain below 80% of the current-tier requirements. If you do not recover, your tier changes to the highest tier your current metrics qualify for.
Loan rate discount
VIP1 and above receive a discount on the standard borrowing interest rate. The discount applies to the interest rate only, not the principal. The discount for each tier is shown on the VIP page.
Trial VIP, Fast-track Apply, and invite codes
- Trial VIP: temporarily grants a higher tier; the expiry is shown when the trial is issued.
- Fast-track Apply: users with a community outside HashWhale can submit their social channels for review. The approved tier and expiry are shown in the result.
- Invite codes: your primary code has no usage cap; special codes carry their own preset terms and redemption limit.
